On Tuesday, 25th October 2022, Universitas Negeri Malang initiated collaboration with the Consulate General of Indonesia in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia by holding an MoU signing ceremony at Universitas Negeri Malang. Attending this event were the Rector of UM for the period of 2018-2022, Prof. Dr. AH Rofi’uddin, M.Pd, the newly elected rector of UM for the period of 2022-2027, Prof. Dr. Hariyono, M.Pd, the vice rectors of UM, Deans of faculties at UM, and the Research and Development team of the Office of International Affairs. The delegates from the Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia in Jeddah who attended the event were ambassador Eko Hartono, Principal of Indonesia Schools in Jeddah Mr. Sutikno, Social and Cultural Consulate General Mr. Ahmad Muhammad, and staff of the Social and Cultural Consulate General Mr. Said Rifqi.
In addition to signing the MoU, this meeting also became a bridge for the two parties to explore some collaboration opportunities in the academic field, research, and community service.
